This insulated water bottle features a copper interior and a stainless steel exterior. The bottle can keep water warm or cool for up to 1 hour but is not meant for long-term hot or cold water storage.
This bottle should not be compared in performance to vacuum-insulated, long-term temperature controlled stainless steel bottles. That extent of temperature control is not possible when using copper because a vacuum has to be created between two stainless steel barriers - this is not possible between stainless steel and copper. Our insulated copper bottle uses a foam layer between the two metals for the ability of slight, short-term temperature control for moderately warm or cool water. Extremely hot or cold water should not be used as this can warp the shape of the bottle and the way the lid fits.
Short-term Temperature Control for Up To 1 Hour
“If you keep water in a copper vessel, preferably overnight or at least for four hours, the water acquires a certain quality from the copper which is very good for your liver in particular and your health and energy in general" - Sadhguru.
According to the US National Library of Medicine website, keeping water in copper for up to 16 hours at room temperature can reduce bacterial, viral and incidence of many infectious diseases considerably. For more information please see: Medical Study
Note: It needs to be cleaned at regular intervals as oxidisation might occur.
